This season consider a donation to the Sayville Soup Kitchen!

Dear Friend, As the holidays approach, our thoughts are full of family and friends and the warmth of time shared together. But there are those in our community whose thoughts are about where their next meal is coming from and how they will manage to stay warm when the temperature drops. Since 1994 the Sharing a Meal (formerly Having Friends INN) soup kitchen in Sayville has been serving the hungry and homeless in the greater Sayville community. Our goal has always been to provide a hot nutritious meal to any individual or family in need of one. Last year Sharing a Meal served over 5,000 meals to those in need in our community. Every week, Monday thru Thursday, our volunteers serve dinner to 25 to 35 guests, in a warm welcoming atmosphere. We turn no one away. We ask no questions and we treat every guest with kindness, dignity and respect. Sometimes a warm smile and a kind word, means as much to our guests as a hot meal. But Sharing a Meal could not do what we do, without the help of the community and the generous support of people like you. Today we face challenges of rising costs and greater need. As you look forward to celebrating with your family and friends, please take a moment to think of those less fortunate in our community. We ask that you kindly consider a donation to Sharing a Meal, so that together we can continue to serve those in need in the greater Sayville community. Your donation, in any amount, is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of our guests. We are a totally volunteer-based organization, so 100% of your donation will go towards benefitting those we serve. Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season, The Sharing a Meal Fundraising Committee -J. Avolio, J. Brown, T. Capozzoli, A. Croce, C. Cudia, W. Katz, D. Keller and G. McLaughlin Sharing a Meal is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Contributions to Sharing a Meal are tax deductible as allowed by law.
